Dave and Siobhain - Corn Exchange, Leeds

Dave and Siobhain live in my local town of Northallerton but they were engaged in Leeds and had fallen love with The Corn Exchange.

Designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, a Hull architect best known for Leeds Town Hall, this Grade I listed structure was completed in 1862 and opened on 28 July 1863. Leeds Corn Exchange is now just one of three Corn Exchanges in the country which operates in its traditional capacity as a centre for trade, although no longer for trading in corn.

I love all the country weddings I photograph in North Yorkshire but when Dave and Siobhain asked me if I would photograph their wedding i was really excited to have the chance to photograph an urban wedding in an amazing venue I have visited many times.

Both Dave and Siobhain were getting ready at The Double Tree by Hilton in Granary Wharf where is where I joined them before the wedding.

Siobhain's dress was designed by Phil Woodhead of Middlesbrough who is an independent designer and the Flowers were by Thompson and Franks of Northallerton.

Here are just a few of the pictures taken.

The view from the hotel bedroom window over Granary Wharf  was amazing !

As Dave and Siobhain didn't get married until 4pm in November the sun was already setting...

The lights were coming on as it began to get dark...
