The Queen

I have been watching Andrew Marr's programme, The Diamond Queen, on the BBC.

One of my favourite pictures of her is this one taken by Patrick Lichfield in 1971 of her enjoying herself on the royal yacht Britannia. It really captures the moment and shows how happy she was.
It is very much the style i use to capture my brides, the best pictures are often not the posed ones, but the natural ones which show how truly happy they are at that moment to have married the one they love.

Spring is in the air !

What a lovely sunny, warm day it's been ! perfect for walking Ruskin on the Cleveland way above Kepwick. On the way home the snowdrops were out and spotted first daffodil in Borrowby !Spring is just around the corner, HOPEFULLY !

Yorkshire !

I watched The Great British Countryside, with Julia Bradbury and Hugh Dennis on the BBC last night which focused on Yorkshire and as i've said many times, Yorkshire is an amazing backdrop for wedding photography.I love my job wherever i am taking pictures because at the end of the day it is the people who make my job special, Yorkshire is just the icing on the ( wedding ) cake !

A Rockliffe Hall wedding

Rockliffe Hall is a five star hotel resort and is set on a magnificent restored 18th century estate in the Village of Hurworth close to Darlington. Stuart and Charlotte very kindly asked me to photograph their special day after i had been recommended to them by friends who's weddings i had also photographed. Here are just a few pics from their lovely wedding last year.
